ABQD9 MEETINGS IN RECESS - Due to COVID-19 and in accordance with the social distancing and health recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO), the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and local government, all ABQD9 meetings will be suspended until further notice.
SUPPORT BLACK BUSINESS - In this time of global pandemic, all our lives have been changed in ways we could not have predicted. However, our personal households are not the only units in our communities experiencing hardship. Many of our local black businesses' are built upon social interaction, coming together and providing services to groups. US Census 2020 - The US Census affects more than you know. It not only impacts federal and congressional representation, at the state and local levels, it directly impacts districts for city council, county commission, school board, state senate and state house. It also directly impacts the federal funding apportioned to each state related to Medicaid, Federal Direct Student Loans, Head Start, Public Transportation, Hospitals, Special Education Grants, Subsidized Housing and so many other items. All ABQD9 member organizations are asked to visit www.abqd9.com/be-counted for your US Census 2020 support packet so your organization can do it's part to ensure our community is appropriately counted.
The member organizations of the ABQD9 effort to meet once per quarter at Nexus Brewery to connect, collaborate and coordinate efforts where useful. Organizational representatives are determined by the local leadership of each chapter. Meeting dates are below.
